IGAS 2022 Demonstrations & Schedule

RMGT will be giving two demonstrations at IGAS 2022 under the theme "Assist Your Potential with Technological Expertise and Constant Innovation" to highlight the efficiency and laborsaving advantages of linking an RMGT press to equipment from our partner companies in the RMGT Consortium for a Sustainable Printing Industry, as well as Smart Factory solutions for increasing automation and visualizing operation status and performance.

Demonstration 1

Automated operation and eco-friendly printing with the RMGT 970 model A1-plus size offset press

Operator support and eco-friendly printing

• Acquisition of job data from an MIS (management information system) via Fujifilm Business Innovation's Revoria One™ Production Cockpit software to preset the press
• Continuous printing of three jobs using Smart Assist Printing, featuring one-button operation to automatically proceed to production printing with consistent printing quality regardless of operator skill or experience
  
• Printed sheets are transported by the Nipper automated guided vehicle (AGV) to the Horizon Inc. booth for folding and book binding
• Eco-friendly printing is performed using LED-UV, biomass ink, and processless plates

Demonstration 2

RMGT Smart Factory Solutions

Smart Factory solutions linking the RMGT 970 model to equipment from companies in the RMGT consortium (RMGT-CSPI)

• Coordination of prepress and postpress processes, automation of work instructions, and visualization of operating status and results through combination of the Press Information Cloud, Press Information Edge, and Factory Information Terminal with the MIS and Revoria One^TM Production Cockpit
• From generation of processless plates to automated plate sorting and transport of the plate trolley by the Nipper AGV
• Automatic plate replacement by the press's newly developed plate supply system
• Automatic supply of paper to the press's feeder section by the Nipper in coordination with the pile jogger
• Automatic printing on the RMGT 970 model using Smart Assist Printing
• Printed sheets are transported by the Nipper AGV. After jogging and cutting, the sheets are automatically transported to the Horizon Inc. booth, where they are processed into paper folders
